Nothing ruins our day more at PeeDee Toys, when one of our beautifully wrapped parcels gets returned to us by Australia Post marked “Return to Sender – No Such Address” etc etc. There’s a lot of chasing around to get the package reshipped and additional expense by the purchaser, and most of it usually means the big day that the present was meant for has been missed.
For the benefit of our overseas customers Australian addresses are as follows:
- Street Number and Street Name
- Suburb in Metropolitan areas or Town in Regional areas
- State Name and Postcode of 4 Numbers
There are very few residential addresses (although this is changing) in the Capital cities eg, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or Hobart. Most people live in the suburbs of the Capital Cities. So if you enter the suburb there is generally no need to enter the Capital City name. Just make sure to include the State and Postcode.
It might take a little extra time, but it will be worth it, to make sure that you have the address details correct. If you realise after you’ve placed your order that you’ve made an error, please reply to the Order Confirmation email you receive from us, with whatever amendments you need to be made. We read and act on ALL emails we get. My wife Pauline is an absolute terrier when it comes to following things up, as I’m sure many of you will already know!
